Libretto by Giuseppe Maria Foppa based on the libretto by François Planard, written for the eponymous opera by Pierre Gaveaux (1808). The first performance took place at the Teatro San Moisè, Venice, on 9 May 1812.

Libretto by Marius Petipa and Ivan Vsevolozhsky based on the fairy tales by Charles Perrault.Choreography by Marius Petipa. The premiere took place at the Mariinsky Theatre on 3 January 1890.

Romeo and Juliet

Libretto by Charles Jude based on the eponymous tragedy by William Shakespeare. The premiere took place at the S. Kirov State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre on 11 January 1940 (Leningrad).

Spartacus

Libretto by Yury Grigorovich based on motifs from the novel by Raffaello Giovagnoli and on events from ancient history, with use of Nikolay Volkov’s scenario. The premiere took place at the Bolshoi Theatre on 9 April 1968 (Moscow).

Karagoz

Based on the eponymous tragedy by Mukhtar Auezov. The premiere took place at the State Opera and Ballet Theatre “Astana Opera” on 5 December 2014.
