On different performance days, there were exciting debuts of the opera house\u2019s soloists in the parts of the heroes of the story.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On September 24, Artur Gabdiyev debuted as Serik, and Ramzat Balakishiyev presented his interpretation of this character on the next day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On September 25, Saltanat Muratbekova took the stage for the first time as Birzhan\u2019s mother Analyq, and Gulzhanat Sapakova performed this tragic role the day before.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Astana Opera International Opera Academy attendee Alikhan Zeinolla and Yerulan Kamel debuted as Yestai.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is important to note that Muqan Tolebayev\u2019s&nbsp;<em>Birzhan \u2013 Sara<\/em>&nbsp;is a real treasure of the Kazakh national classics. The production at Astana Opera stands out from all previous ones in its particular visual appeal and grand scale. The colourful, captivating costumes and sets serve as a fitting backdrop for the bright, beautiful and melodious music of the outstanding composer Mukan Tolebayev. At the same time, rich imagery of the nature of our homeland is embodied not only in the sets, but also in video projections. The impeccable performance of the opera soloists, symphony orchestra, choir, ballet and supernumeraries of the capital\u2019s opera house aroused great delight among the audience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meir Bainesh, Beimbet Tanarykov, Bibigul Zhanuzak, Zhamilya Jarkimbayeva brilliantly presented the title roles of the people\u2019s favourites, singers and aqyns \u2013 the composer Birzhan and the poet Sara. Talgat Mussabayev and Zhanat Shybykbayev masterfully performed Zhanbota, Madina Islamova and Yelena Ganzha took the stage as Altynai. Zhienqul \u2013 Yerzhan Saipov, Rassul Zharmagambetov, Qozhaghul \u2013 Zhandarbek Yerkinbayev, Shyngys Rassylkhan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Music director of the production \u2013 Abzal Mukhitdin, stage director \u2013 Askhat Mayemirov, consulting director \u2013 Mikhail Pandzhavidze, set and costume designers \u2013 Sofya Tasmagambetova, Pavel Dragunov, principal choirmaster \u2013 Yerzhan Dautov, choreographer \u2013 Mukaram Avakhri, projections designer \u2013 Sergio Metalli, lighting designer \u2013 Jacopo Pantani, assistant stage director \u2013 Yerenbak Toikenov, responsible accompanists \u2013 Irina Kurguzkina, Zaru Zhazykbayeva.
