Astana Opera’s staff voted in the presidential elections held on November 20.
“The most important thing for us now is the integrity of our country, the prosperity and unity of our people. There are many examples of instability in the world. It is clear that the guarantee of sustainable development is important for Kazakhstanis. Therefore, we see that the citizens of our country were active, they cast their votes, including in the polling station within Astana Opera’s walls,” Galym Akhmedyarov, the Honoured Worker of Kazakhstan, Astana Opera’s General Director, said.
“Today there was an important event, which, undoubtedly, will affect the course of our history. We are sure that the Kazakhstani citizens’ will follow the right path forward. The country needs to further strengthen its political, economic and cultural positions in the global space. We all face important responsibilities. In order for our country to develop and prosper, we all must work hard, each in our own field,” Astana Opera’s artists emphasized.
As a reminder, at a joint meeting of the chambers of the Parliament of Kazakhstan on September 16, amendments to the Constitution on presidential elections were approved. From now on, the Head of State will be elected once for seven years in Kazakhstan.
