The Country Voted for the Future of New Kazakhstan

An important event took place today, which, without a doubt, will affect the course of the history of our country. The proposal of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, to hold a republican referendum on amendments to the Constitution was actively supported by the people of Kazakhstan.

In this regard, I would like to emphasize that Astana Opera does not stand aside from the cultural, social, economic and political events taking place in our country. A polling station was set up within the opera house walls, and Yerkegali Rakhmadiyev’s heroic opera Alpamys was symbolically presented on the Great Hall stage on this day. The opera house team always fulfills its civic duty, because the prosperity of Kazakhstan and the preservation of cultural values are very important for each of us, because culture is the basis and essence of the nation.

The entire opera house staff is actively involved in the implementation of reforms carried out by the state. It is worth emphasizing that these days the ballet company is performing on tour in the spiritual center of our people – Turkestan and Shymkent. However, they also had the opportunity to cast their vote in a referendum, during which it became clear that our citizens are united and empathize with the fate of the country.

It is gratifying that the country began the steps to create a new, just Kazakhstan with a revision of the main document of our state – the Constitution. It is apparent that after the introduction of amendments and additions to the Constitution, cardinal changes will take place in our lives. I am confident that the successful implementation of all reforms will allow Kazakhstan to strengthen its political, economic and cultural positions in the global space.
